Why Become a Member?

Everything is not equal. We live in one of Canada’s wealthiest and fastest-growing cities, yet not all residents have equal access to the economic, educational, health and social opportunities that are critical to succeed.

Joining Literary Circle is one of the most impactful ways you can make a difference at Toronto Public Library. Members help fill TPL’s most urgent funding gaps, while enjoying access to events that feature fascinating authors, story-tellers and thought-leaders.

Literary Circle funding has supported critical programs at the Library, including Leading to Reading, Career Coaches in Residence, Internet Connectivity Kits, Community Librarians and Financial Empowerment.
