An Evening with Luis Alberto Urrea

We hope you enjoyed an evening with Pulitzer Prize finalist Luis Urrea, and hearing about what libraries mean to him. In his own words, “Without libraries, I do not exist”.

Luis spoke about the literary rituals of his childhood that shaped him into the successful author he is today. Growing up in a tenement apartment, he would max out his library card during his weekly visits to TPL with his mother – “I would go home feeling like a rich man”.
